Happy Presidents Day: George Washington on The History Channel

As the markets are closed today for Presidents Day, I thought I'd find an article giving a tribute to our greatest presidents but was unable to find anything of real worth in the financial or even general media as a celebration of this holiday.  Instead, we will leave the world of journalism and transit to the world of entertainment as I wish to alert everyone to the excellent mini-series "George Washington" that premiered last night on The History Channel.

It is a 3-part six hour docudrama typical of the docudramas The History Channel makes with dramatic reenactments interspersed with many interviews with historians, professors and politicians well versed in Washington's life and career.  And I will say that the actor who plays Washington bears a striking resemblance to the actual article.  Check the schedule as Part 1 shown last night is being repeated several times throughout the week so there is ample time to catch the whole series from the beginning.  Part 2 begins at 8 pm tonight, Part 3 Tuesday night.  Again, each episode will be repeated several times so go ahead and DVR it.
