Did you know that RT (Russia Today), one of Vladimir Putin’s disinformation websites is one of the top two sources of news on YouTube, right up there with CNN?  Or that Warren Buffett’s GEICO was a leading advertiser on Sputnik News, another Kremlin propaganda site? Neither did I until my podcast interview, new on our website this week, with veteran journalists and media entrepreneurs Steven Brill and Gordon Krovitz, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of  NewsGuard, the web rating service.  NewsGuard investigates thousands of websites for their accuracy, credibility and transparency and gives them a “nutrition label” rating.  A third of the 5000 sites they follow have earned their worst “Red” rating. The implications for individuals, businesses, advertising and tech giants like Facebook, Google and its YouTube subsidiary, among other tech firms, are profound. This is a must hear conversation.

We recently sat down with legendary value investor Bill Miller, the Founder, Owner and Chief Investment Officer of Miller Value Partners and Co-Portfolio Manager of Miller Opportunity Trust fund which he created in 1999 and has co-managed with Samantha McLemore since 2014. The flagship fund has $1.5 billion in assets and has beaten the S&P since the market’s 2009 bottom, producing 20% plus annualized returns vs the S&P’s 17% returns.

We asked him about the stock market’s powerful rally. Is it durable? Are stock prices running on anything other than Fed fumes? Miller will explain why he says yes to both questions.
