As Consuelo Mack mentions below on this week's WealthTrack program, there is no better time than the start of summer to be reviewing retirement objectives and strategies. I will personally be doing the same in the weeks ahead. Enjoy your week.

Retirement Blind Spots
Dear WEALTHTRACK Subscriber,
As we welcome the official start of summer we are focusing once again on the challenges of retirement planning. There is no one better to help us with that task than Christine Benz, Morningstar’s widely followed and admired director of personal finance and retirement planning, who describes herself as being passionate about simplifying retirement portfolio planning. Amen to that!
There are few tasks more fraught with financial challenges and anxiety than planning for retirement and replacing a work paycheck with one from savings, ostensibly to last a lifetime. It’s especially daunting against the backdrop of last year’s broad-based market declines and the new era of higher inflation, rising interest rates and the threat of recession.
We revisited part one of her Building a Better Retirement series recently. If you missed it you can see it on WEALTHTRACK.com.
This week in part two, Benz discusses retirement blind spots. She has identified six of them and she is going to help us fix them!
The retirement blind spots are: retirement date risk, sequence-of-return risk, low-yield risk, inflation risk, health care / long-term care risk, and longevity risk. In this week’s show Benz explains how to mitigate those risks and what steps to take to solve them.
In addition, in our exclusive EXTRA feature, we’ll learn which financial blind spots are especially meaningful to her and how she is handling them.
If you miss the show on public television, you can watch it on our website over the weekend, along with our past programs and our guests’ One Investment recommendations. You can also find the WEALTHTRACK podcast on Stitcher and SoundCloud as well as iTunes and Spotify.
Have a lovely weekend and make the week ahead a healthy, profitable and productive one!
Best regards,
Consuelo
